Getting past stage 1

My faculty has approved my application for an exchange with University of British Columbia (UBC, Canada) so my papers shall be submitted tomorrow. I guess we can call that the end of stage 1. My next obstacle would be one of the biggest — the TOEFL exam on Friday afternoon. After that there are still many steps to go before I can really head there, so wish me luck!

So I’ll be busy preparing for the TOEFL exam as well as my presentation on China’s multicultural society (if existent) on Friday morning. So I won’t be able to entertain you (if anyone) with my trivial rants nor nonsense pictures. I can spare a few minutes now, though, to try to spice up your day (riiiiiiite) with some culture-learning pics.

“Wadcha staring at? So you think only YOU get cold huh. Brrr, wish I had gloves like yours, but they don’t sell them in 4s do they?”

Mail room My mailbox is in these shambles

*sings* Flour balls roasting on an open fire…

Brisk business along these sidewalks. The “black cats” (police, as called by these entrepreneurs) snoozing somewhere, eh? Hurray for consumers! Bought 2 pairs of winter socks for 7.50RMB (S$1.50)
